Credit Problems & Bankruptcy

Credit is freely offered in our society - sometimes too freely. People may accept credit and overspend. Others manage their debt carefully, yet find themselves wiped out by health care costs. People sell on credit, and expect payment. Americans believe that it is better to have the opportunity for a fresh start, but insist that this not be abused. Please read and understand the disclosures we provide, but please also understand that this web site does not provide legal advice, only an overview so you can conduct an informed search for legal assistance.

We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.

The services we provide for debt relief are offered with respect to and governed by Title 11 of the United States Code:  “Bankruptcy.”

  • Lenders may be willing to work out arrangements that will permit you to pay what you can afford.
  • Bankruptcy may provide you debt relief and a fresh start, but the rules are complex.
  • Not all debts can be discharged, but once you file for Bankruptcy you will have certain protections.
  • Bankruptcy is governed by federal law, but which property you can protect is defined by Michigan law
  • The first step in analyzing your credit situation is to gather all records of debts, other obligations, and assets.

We can examine your debt situation and discuss your options with you.
